Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Maui, Hawaii during July.

Time

I took this photo right before the sun went under the horizon over the water.

Lighting

The lighting was perfect at this moment because all the bright colors of the sunset was shining brightly in the perfect tone.

Equipment

The equipment I used was a Nikon D3100 on the nature mode.

Inspiration

Seeing this pretty clear glass bottle on one of the restaurants tables reminded me of something an artist would paint in a picture.

Editing

The processing I did for this photo was just darkening it a tiny bit to bring out the colors as much as possible.

In my camera bag

I normally carry just by Nikon D3100, along with an extra lens that can be used for things farther away.

Feedback

To create a photo like this one, having a clear and see through object is best so that you can see what's behind it. It doesn't have to be a sunset either, maybe a pretty mountain landscape or rainy city would work just as well!
