Location
This was taken on Isola Bella (Beautiful Island), the island is situated in Lago Maggiore and is one of the Borromean Islands of Lake Maggiore, in Northern Italy.Time
I am not sure of the time of day as this was taken over 12 years ago on a Beautiful day in May.Lighting
All I can say about the lighting that day, is, it was warm and sunny and once the Peacock was in the right possition I could capture the higlights and shadows of his beautiful white tail feathers. He was dancing up a storm.Equipment
I only had my little Canon PowerShot A530. It was the only camera I had at the time and fitted both into my pocket and my hand easily. It was most convenient whilst travelling in a large group.Inspiration
The Beauty of the Bird himself, he was showing off and prancing around, creating quite a spectial, I spent a good part of my time on the Island watching him, at the expence of missing out on seeing some of the other features of the Island.Editing
The only processing I did was to tweak the light and shade, also sharpness of the shot, then I put a small black vignette around it.In my camera bag
As I said in an earlier comment all I had was my trusty little Canon PowerShot A530.Feedback
Look for the right lighting. Watch the bird and be patient, be ready to take the shot while looking for the right moment during the birds dance. Take a few shots if you think you have the right angle and lighting. You might have to move quietly about to get the right angle that you want to capture, but the key words are lighting and patience.
