This photo was taken at my home in Ontario canada, I live out in the country so most my photos are of the beautiful land and family around me.Time
Around 2 pm my little brother held up this cherry tomato to show me how tiny and cute it was! He couldn't believe tomatoes could be this small! He couldn't wait to pop it in his mouth.Lighting
This photo is one of the first professional pictures I've taken. I new absolutely nothing about lighting, angles, composition and everything else that's tagged along with photography. Being 16 ,at the time this photo was taken, and still in highschool the only things I was learning about photography was a small class I was taking.Equipment
I used a Nikon camera, I'm not sure of which make of Nikon. Nothing else was used.Inspiration
My little brother and I love going on adventures together, one day he wanted to explore the "garden of wonders" as he called it. we packed our explorer bags to see what tasty things we could find! He found this cherry tomato and I couldn't resist capturing the moment of joy!Editing
I normally don't like editing my photos, I love the natural look of an untouched photo. It seems more real, more relatable. But for this particular image I used Adobe Photoshop, applying a black and white filter. After adding the filter it needed something more, so I erased the black and white filter just over the tomato to give it that pop of colour! In my camera bag
I ALWAYS have my Nikon d5100 with the 18-55mm 1:3.5 -5.6G VR lense. Also Memory cards! I have about fifteen of them just incase! I'm still just starting out in photography so those are the only things I carry with me.Feedback
This isn't a type of photo you sit patiently waiting for, or that you have to set up a bunch of things just to get the perfect shot. This photo was taken in the moment, the moment that was filled with family, love, joy and happiness. Enjoy the little things surrounding you, it doesn't need to be fancy nor does it require expensive equipment. It's as simple as looking for the things that make you happy and the people that are close to you. It's about the things that are constantly going on around you, all you have to do is capture that moment.
