This image was capture a couple years ago on a previous tornado chase in south central Kansas. The image was very hard to take as the twister was moving along at an incredible miles per hour with tornadic winds inside of over 165 miles per hour. Most tornado's move along at a general average speed of 35 miles per hour. It is the slow moving twisters that do the most terrible damage, as they sit over an area and swirl debris around like a giant mixing bowl!
