lighting was early morning with sun rise just having occuredEquipment
used a Canon 70D with a Canon 100-400 with a focal length of 390mm. Camera was hand held.Inspiration
There were several of these baby ducks but the sticks making a parallel marking with the markings on the ducks head made this an interesting angle. the lighting was perfect to show off the feathers and colors of this young duck. I also liked that the shadows were parallel to the sticks and that a shadow of an additional duckling was present. I intentionally left out the other duck so the shadows would parallel without a distraction.Editing
a little sharpening is only post processingIn my camera bag
normally have a Canon 70D, Sigma 28-70 F2.8, Tamron 150-600, Canon 70-200 F2.8 lenses. have a 1.4 extender.Feedback
be early in the morning for shots of ducks etc. they are most active when the sun first comes up. Early sun also makes for great long shadows and nice detail on feathers and colors.
