I took this photo early one morning when my sweet little Havenesse, Brooklyn woke me around 6 am. I shot her using the natural light of the sunrise coming through the window as she cuddled in the sheets of my bed.Time
Early morning around sunrise.Lighting
I like to use natural light. I look for those places in which the light is only there for a brief moment and then start to play.Equipment
This was shot using my Canon 6D with my favorite lens. My 100mm macro.Inspiration
This photo was inspired by the sweetness in Brooklyn's little face. She loves the camera and love putting her nose right up against the lense.Editing
The only post-process I did yo this shot that I can recall is cropping it a bit.In my camera bag
My go to equipment is my Canon 6D. I carry my Canon 100mm macro lense with me as well as my wide angle 24-105mm. I carry s few different filters with me and always have a back up battery and memory card. Because I sm drawn to street photography and nature I find I am always looking for a great travel case for travel. I really love quality padding to protect my lenses.Feedback
I find playing with window sheers to filter and soften natural daylight as the sunrises can create just the right softness needed. When shooting animals I try making different noises to capture the pets attention. Usually the higher noise get them to turn their little heads and look straight at me. Shooting with a monochromatic setting can also enhance what I am trying to make my focal point. It's just soft and almost intimate when you blend out everything around a sweet little puppies face and then they smile at you with love.
