Location

The photo was taken in Downtown Dallas, Texas in a friend's loft.

Time

It was taken about ten in the morning.

Lighting

The lighting is natural light only.

Equipment

I use a Nikon 5400 with a Tamron 28-300 lens.

Inspiration

I knew that at this time of morning I would be able to get a terrific silhouette image against the backdrop of the city. We were on the third floor of the building with a great view. I was also working with a terrific art model by the name of Vik Tory who is also schooled in ballet so I knew that shew would give a great pose.

Editing

I do very little post processing. It usually consists mostly of checking the curves and maybe a little cropping or getting rid of things which take away from the photo.

In my camera bag

With my health issues all I normally carry with me are the camera and lens that I named above and a prop or two if I need them.

Feedback

Always use natural light if available. If not and you have to use studio lighting always try to experiment with many different settings to give you work as much variety as possible.
