The Sæborg was built in Akureyri in 1977 for Karl Aðalsteinsson and his sons from Húsavík. The boat stayed in the same family for 24 years. In the year 1992 Sæborg was sold to Keflavík and then later it was used for tourism in Reykjavík under the name Áróra. Summer 2016 North Sailing decided to buy Sæborg and bring back this beautiful oak boat to his hometown. Now used for whale watching, I captured this photo shortly before sunset in the Húsavík harbor.
