Location
I took this picture on a snowy day in Lancaster, PA. I wanted to wander the city and see if I could capture the bright colors contrasting with the snow. I walked in a part of the city I had never been in and stumbled upon this bright yellow cafe! I had to take a photo of it.Time
I took this shot in the early afternoon.Lighting
No special lights were used, this was done with overcast skies!Equipment
Canon EOS Rebel T5i with an 18-55mm lens.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this photo because I just loved the way the colors jumped out at me on the street. But it’s also great because the more you look at it, the more detail you see. There’s bars on the door, the handle is missing, the bricks are crumbling... it’s the beautiful color that takes your eye away from the flaws. Or maybe it’s the flaws that make it so beautiful?Editing
I did a little post processing in regards to exposure and contrast. I barely touched the saturation slider- the colors really do look like that!In my camera bag
Normally I carry around my camera, a couple lenses (including a fixed 50mm lens) and a tripod if I’m shooting at night.Feedback
Composition is everything, and colors that are bold in real life without any post processing help will always bring a photo to life!
