Location
This photo was taken in the old city of Salzburg Austria at the famous Pferdeschwemme where coach drivers used to wash and water their horses.Time
It was taken in the afternoon around 3 pm.Lighting
I used off camera flash in a soft box modifier to soften the light and allow the model to be emphasized without harsh shadows. An assistant was there to hold the flash and move around to find the best location.Equipment
I used a nikon D4 with a mid range zoom 24_70 ,2.8.lens.Inspiration
Henri Cartier Bresson has always inspired me in photographing timeless and elegant city scenes in which the architecture and model harmonize and result in a union.Editing
I do some skin retouching and toning to subtly bring out the mood.In my camera bag
I normally have my nikon D4 or D750 with 3 lenses wide angle, mid range zoom, tele zoom lens flash and soft box with pocket wizards a monopod and a reflector.Feedback
My advice would be to plan the outfit and location and have an idea of what you would like to capture before you shoot even if that vision turns out a bit different than planned as is usually the case. Also plan lighting before the shoot and be ready to use flash or reflector if necessary.
