Location
This photo was taken in Newport, South Wales. My home town. This photo is away from the city and a lovely peaceful part for all who love walking and taking in local scenes.Time
I had just finished a 12hr night shift. When leaving work the air was so fresh and the fog was overwhelming. I knew the perfect place that would rise enough above the fog for a beautiful photo. The fog was clearing when I got to the right place and I just had to wait for a gap in the traffic to snap this photo. It was around 7.30amLighting
There was a lot of early morning sunlight seeping through the fog. Creating a beautiful glow, enhanced by the colours of autumn.Equipment
The only thing I had on me was my iPhone8. Taken using the settings f/1.8, 1/40s, 3.99mm and ISO22. No other equipment used.Inspiration
The beauty of my favourite season ‘Autumn’ inspires this photo. I had been waiting for the weather to be just right and on this day it was exactly what I had been waiting for.Editing
This photo was lovely raw but I did add a couple of adjustments in adobe PS Express. I slightly increased the exposure as it was a little dark. I then increased the saturation to make the autumn colours really jump out and glow. No other adjustments were needed. In my camera bag
At the moment I only have my phone to take photographs. To enhance my phones built in camera I carry with me a tripod, earphones (which enable me to snap a shot without touching the phone), wide angle lens, fisheye lens, macro lens, and a starburst lens. I also always have a photography ball for just incase as I love them and the photos they can produce at the right time.Feedback
This type of photo depends greatly on the weather and the time of year. Autumn for the lovely orange tones. I have only ever found early morning fog with sunlight the best time for this and I always check the forecast before I plan anything. Best to just snap away, and be happy. Hopefully a beautiful photo will follow :) and good luck to my fellow photographers.
