Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at concrete studios in downtown Los Angeles.

Time

It was about 3pm with AJ

Lighting

Lighting is essential for great photography. Always shoot in RAW to make adjustments.

Equipment

At the time , I was just starting out in photography. I used a Canon xti 10mp camera with a 580ex speedlite

Inspiration

AJ needed some new photos to display on her web page. She had some great ideas,so you can say I was lucky at the time of the shoot.

Editing

Lightroom was used to convert to black and white.

In my camera bag

I have several cameras, but my Canon 6D and Nikon D700 are my cameras of choice. I love using tht Sigma 50mm 1.4 art for both cameras. Very seldom do I use zoom lens for photography of people.

Feedback

As I have used many different cameras and lens, I have discovered a great lens is a must. It is important to keep shooting to improve your skills .
