Behind The Lens

Location

Taken at Blea Tarn Big in the Lake District.

Time

Just after dawn.

Lighting

As with most landscape photography it pays to be there for the golden hour of sunrise.

Equipment

Nikon D850 with a Nikon 16-35 F4 lens. Gitzo tripod and ball head.

Inspiration

The tarn is famed for great reflections at dawn.

Editing

Very little. Some minor global adjustments along with. Mono conversion in silver effects.

In my camera bag

I’m lucky enough to own a number of good quality Nikon lenses. Focal ranges covered are from 14mm to 500mm.

Feedback

Just get out there and enjoy the process of capturing some great images. It’s the journey and not always the image that matters most.
