Location
This photo was taken in Tanzania. Our car was able to drive right up to the tree without bothering the beautiful animal, who just looked at us with mild interest.Time
This was mid-morning, so the sunlight filtered through the tree from aboveLighting
The tree provided nice shadows to provide contrasts to the sprawling leopardEquipment
This photo was taken with a hand held Canon 5d with a 200mm lensInspiration
A leopard in a tree is an iconic image, and I feel lucky to have experienced this and priceless to be able to have taken this photographEditing
Pretty much as shot. A lityle cropping for compositionIn my camera bag
I have now upgraded to the Canon R5 and love the 1000-500 zoom lens.Feedback
If you have a chance to visit Africa and go on safari, try to choose locations that are not too popular and crowded, and guides that will venture off the most-traveled paths. I think this provides the best opportunity for quiet snd intimate wildlife and landscape encounters
