Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the History Alive Festival held in Brisbane ,Australia. An annual affair where people dress up in costumes of various times in history.

Time

It was taken mid morning when this lady was having a break from her historical artifacts stall. I did not know her but I could not resist in asking her to pose for me as she was walking by.

Lighting

It was beautiful sunny day and taken with just natural light.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D700 with an 18-200mm lens which was ideal for this type of shooting where wide angle and closeup shots were everywhere.

Inspiration

She just had that natural look and her hair was eye catching.

Editing

The only adjustment that I did was to blur out the backround a little to accentuate my subject.

In my camera bag

My gear today consists of a Nikon d850 with 18-300mm Nikon lens for versatility and a 200-500 Nikon for distance and of course I always have my cleaning and maintenance gear with me.

Feedback

I love capturing events. They provide an infinite array of subjects. All types of shows like history,flower,music,body painting,cultural,etc. I am always on the lookout for these types of things.
