I love painted barns. As a kid I would scan the countryside on vacations in hopes of spotting a barn advertising for Rock City, Meramec Caverns, or Mail Pouch Tobacco. I now scan the countryside, camera in hand, to record this rapidly disappearing slice of Americana.
I found this Mail Pouch Barn on US HWY 30 (Lincoln Highway), on the east side of Dalton, OH. This magnificent Mail Pouch barn sports two painted sides. I processed the original photographic image to reflect a vintage postcard look.
