This photo was taken at my home. This is my son and his dog, just being themselves!Time
I took this photo in the afternoon, when there was plenty of natural light in the bathroom.Lighting
I like how the back lighting really make the water glisten. It was a natural moment so there wasn’t too much planning Involved. I used to work weddings, and that is where I learned to adapt to whatever lighting I’m given at any point in time.Equipment
I used a canon 5D Mark III, with a canon fisheye 18-15mm lens.Inspiration
My son was my inspiration for this photo. I wanted to capture a fun memory from his childhood.Editing
Just black and white and some sharpening. My walls are a burnt orange color. I didn’t want that color to be too distracting from their faces and the moment. In my camera bag
I always have a canon 5d Mark iii, 18-55mm Canon fisheye, Canon 1.2 50mm, and a canon 24mm-105mm.Feedback
Let your subjects be natural, if you can, for these types of photos. Some direction is necessary in most shoots, but when your children are the subjects, or for moments like these, just let them happen and snap away!
