I took the photo at my mothers house in the heart of rural Suffolk the sofa is just by a open fire and always attracts both catsTime
This was evening when the cats were more docile and easier to shootLighting
The warm orange is natural from the illumination of the open fire and is back light by a wall light in the roomEquipment
Just a canon 700d with the stock lenseInspiration
These two cats are really interesting as both were highly bred from the father and accidentally bred with a tabby cat which resulted in both cats and the litter thrown out of a car on a US highway, found by a GI brought to the UK and given to my mum when the GI had to return to the USA, they are pampered and very pretty cats (and a bit over weight) it tends to make them very photogenicEditing
Nothing the shot was candidIn my camera bag
I only have a canon 700d but I always make sure I have a lease hood and spare batteryFeedback
For group animals find a pair who have lived together for years and are very comfortable with each other
