I took this photo in Iceland. Iceland is a beautiful place, it gives you a lot of photos opportunities. This was taken in Hraunfossar area in autumn. The autumn colours make this place even more beautiful than usual.Time
That day was very cloudy and although I took this photo in the afternoon I was able to do a good long exposure work.Lighting
The light was perfect to work with long exposure to get the water motion I wanted for a creative image.Equipment
I worked with my Canon 5d Mark II full frame camera and with the 100-400 lens. I had with me the tripod of course, otherwise I would have got this photo blurred.Inspiration
I had seen many photos of this beautiful area so I liked to get a different composition. For this reason I worked with a long lens to get a closer view of the lava falls.Editing
I worked the raw file with Adobe Camera Raw first then I ended up with Photoshop CC. I tried to get a good tonal balance and a good clarity then I used the curves to get a nice contrast. Anyway this image didn't need of a long post processing work.In my camera bag
I always take with me two cameras, a wide angle lens, a macro lens and a long lens, a tripod and some different neutral density filters. In particular I use Canon equipment.Feedback
Iceland has some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world and each one is different for the surrounding environment, power, shapes, and colors. The weather is very changing and sometime you have to come back to the same place more times to get a nice photo. Anyway it's worth the effort. You can get great images from it. My suggestion is to take time to find a fine composition and to do a good exposure work.
