Location
I took this photo at Assateague Island National Seashore in Maryland. I did live about 30 minutes from there and visited here frequently. I love to walk the beach past where most people go because it is more untouched then in other spots, as you can see by the sand in this shot.Time
This was taken abpprox mid day.Lighting
I do not take black and white photos very often because I am big on color. But there was something about the lines in the sand and the shadows from the fence that I thought that would probably be very striking in black and white. After I viewed the shot I was surprised at how it turned out.Equipment
I used a Canon Powershot SX530, no other equipment.Inspiration
When I lived closed to this beach I would go there every chance I got. I was going thru a divorce and the peace I felt is something I was always trying to capture in the photos of it. I was trying to somehow convey how it felt to be there.Editing
noIn my camera bag
I am very basic. I take my small bag with my camera, charger, and phone-thats it!Feedback
I am not a technical photographer. I go by feeling and looks. I will be riding down the road and see how the sun is reflecting off of a building at a great angle and pull over and take the shot. I think being spontaneous is the best way to take pictures. I try to convey how I feel at that moment or how that view made me feel. To me photography is how a picture makes you feel!
