Behind The Lens

Location

Walking through The Breña y Marismas de Barbate Natural Park in Cádiz province towards Los Caños de Meca brought me to this stunning view of the Trafalgar Lighthouse. No only does it capture a stunning scence but also connects with some significant maritime history.

Time

The picture was taken in the middle of the day... and it was hot and bright.

Lighting

The overheat sun was very bright, but it did bring the sea colour up well.

Equipment

Canon 450

Inspiration

The framing was key - I had been sheltering from the burning sun on this long hot walk and the lighthouse and seascape appeared .

Editing

I applied some sharpening to the picture.

In my camera bag

I only had my camera in the bag - a polarising filter would have been interesting. I also needed lots of water!

Feedback

There is that moment when the destination comes into sight - that's the moment to pause for a capture.
