Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken in Bagan in Myanmar, on a trip I made to Southeast Asia in 2012.Time
I was walking around in the middle of the day when I saw this Monk walk barefoot down the street. I believe it was around 12-13.Lighting
I had the sun in my back and it was overcast so the sunlight was not to harsh.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 60 D and the lens was a Canon EF50 mm 1.4.Inspiration
Through out the years I spent much time looking at photography books from famous travel photographers and I always wanted to do the same. Travel the world and try to capture a small part of it through the lens.Editing
I did some heavy editing in Photoshop to blur out the background and make the monk really pop out. I could have achieved the same with a telelens, but at that time the only lens I had was a 50mm, so I kind of cheated and made the effect on the computer. In my camera bag
I have upgraded my bag since this photo. Now I have a Canon EOS 7D Mark II. The lenses are a Sigma ART 50 mm and a Canon 18-55 mm and a Canon Flash-light.Feedback
Travel the world.
