Location
This photograph was taken in a small venue just outside of Murfreesboro, TN called The Wren's Nest. On the front porch, with an incredible swing, the bride sat right in the middle with her closest friends around her.Time
About 2-3pm.Lighting
The lighting was coming in from the left side. To counter I used a large (about 3x6ft) reflector so as not to get many harsh shadows.Equipment
Reflector. Canon 5D Mark iii. 50mm 1.2.Inspiration
I love to get up close and capiture candid encounters with the bride and the bridal party and close family.Editing
Not much. I used a VSCO filter then tweaked quite a bit. Mostly focusing on the exposure and highlights. In my camera bag
Canon 5D Mark iii, 50mm 1.2, 85 mm 1.2, 28mm, smoke bombs, macro filters, & plenty of CF cards!Feedback
Focus on the people. Catch those moments that matter the most and remember that while the surroundings can be great, the most emotion is expressed in people's faces.
