Behind The Lens

Location

This was late afternoon in autumn in the Jardins du Versailles, France. The leaves on all the beech trees had just turned creating a wonderful light with the afternoon sun.

Time

Late afternoon in September on a sunny day

Lighting

The light is all natural, late afternoon sun filtered through the autumn leaves of the avenues of beech trees

Equipment

This was taken handheld with a Nikon D90 with an all-purpose 18-300 mm lens

Inspiration

I was in Versailles for work and was able to walk through the gardens morning and evening on the way to and from the hotel - I loved the autumn colours of the leaves, and a sunny day was perfect to capture them

Editing

Slightly enhancing the contrast in Lightroom only

In my camera bag

Normally just a 18-300 mm lens an a 50 mm f1.8 to go on my Nikon D90
