I am fortunate to live in an area where roses bloom all year long, This picture was taken by the clubhouse on an early morning walk. There are about 100 rose bushes that line the pathway to the building.

I took this photo at the Clubhouse in the development where I live in Beaumont, California. Every morning I take an early morning walk from my house to the clubhouse, I always have my Sony X100 with me because you never know what you are going to see. This particular morning the sprinklers has just gone off and I loved the way the water droplets were glistening on the roses. I took a couple of photographs of the flowers and this is one of the captures.Time
This picture was taken about 6 am in the morning. The rose bush was on the back side of the clubhouse so it wasn't in direct sunlight.Lighting
There wasn't any thing special about the lighting other than it was early morning before the sun had risen. I guess that would be the Golden Hour.Equipment
I am an amateur photographer and basically use a point an shoot camera. In this case it was the Sony x100Inspiration
I was inspired by the beauty of the white rose and the way the water droplets were on the petals. To me it looked like tears.Editing
As a person just starting out I am just learning about editing pictures. I have used the free apps on the web and in this case I used PicMonkey. I basically just cropped the picture and sharpened the details. In my camera bag
I do not carry much equipment. In this case it was just my point and shoot camera.Feedback
I truly believe beauty is everywhere, we just have to keep our eyes open and camera ready. When taking pictures it is not as simple as taking one shot, sometimes you have to take 10 or more at different angels to get the look you want. One must be patient and also experiment with the camera and subject till you get that one perfect shot in your eyes. I take pictures as a way to express my creative side, and as I edit the picture it takes on a life of it's own based on how I'm feeling.
