Location
I took this picture in Tanzania.Time
It was late evening, it was starting to get dark and the sun was slowly sinking into the horizon.Lighting
The soft light created by the setting sun created a nice glow and added a dramatic feel to the image.Equipment
Nikon D7100, 18-200 mm lens, hand held, no flash.Inspiration
I am always looking for ways to create better pictures, this was an ideal scene right in front of me. The African sky was turning a soft pink and the huge acacia tree created an excellent silhouette.Editing
I use lightroom for adjusting contrast, saturation and colour. In my camera bag
D3s, D7100, 18-200 mm, 28-70 mm, 70-200 mm, 105mm macro, 4-5 memory cards, charged batteries, torch, cleaning cloth, monopod.Feedback
Always carry a wide angle lens. Try to find out when sun rises and sets, keep looking all around you for possible places to take pictures. Take pictures from high angles and low angles, horizontal and vertical shots. Try and understand the terrain you will be going too. Dress appropriately for the heat, carry a cap. water and wear comfortable shoes.
