Location
I took this photo in the mountains of Whistler BC on the west coastTime
I finished work for the day about 4;30 pm,So up the mountain we went.Lighting
The sun was filtered thru the treesEquipment
Canon 70d canon 100-400mm hand heldInspiration
My friend and I headed up the mountain to shoot a few sunset shots from the ridge facing the village, I always hike with my 100-400mm ready to shoot wildlife if the opportunity should arise, When I looked up I seen this coyote looking down on my friend who was walking on the lower trail.I managed to get the shot and a few seconds later realized the coyote was not watching us ,he was watching the black bear that was following us up the trailEditing
Photo has been lightened and noise removed as I was shooting in filtered sunlightIn my camera bag
I always have my Sigma 10-20mm wide angle for landscapes, my Sigma 105mm macro, and canon 24-105mm, cable release,a speedlite and of course a tripodFeedback
Always have your camera ready ,you never know what you will see ,I always have my camera set to aperture or shutter priority depending on the conditions where I am shooting The moment only happens once you don't want to miss it fumbling for settings
