This photo was taken at my home in Jaipur, India.Time
I took this picture during a power cut at my home. I was trying to test the inbuilt flash in front of mirror. With my fascination for eyes, I shot this one on January 18, 2016 at 7:08 PM.Lighting
I used an electric lantern, placed it near my face. I adjusted the lantern at my face to keep the light over the half portion only.Equipment
I used Nikon D3300 with AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm lens, an electric lantern & a mirror.Inspiration
Few months back, The only camera I used to have - was Nokia Lumia 730's 6.7 mp camera. I have a really strong fascination for eyes.. I used to use all the manual functions (ISO, Shutter Speed, Focal Length) on the phone camera and was able to click a really nice picture of my own eye. After getting my very first DSLR, I was all ready to make it to the next level. I am really happy with this result and still looking forward for more.Editing
As this shot was a reflection on mirror and is black and white, I have cropped the picture and converted one to black and white. I have adjusted slight of Shadows and Highlights in Adobe Lightroom. In my camera bag
The first thing is the body of Nikon D3300 attached with AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm lens. I have AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm lens too with me and an extra battery, a small cloth and a pen tucked in a notebook.Feedback
For a shot like this - You just need a complete dark room with a mirror and any external light (Torch, Electric Lantern etc) as you are taking a shot infront of mirror, you need to see where your eye will meet the lens and how the camera is capturing the reflection. Try to keep the ISO as low as you can. Good Luck!
