This was shot in Clear Creek State Park near Sigel, PA in early October of 2015.Time
This was shot late morning, between 10:30 and 11:00.Lighting
This was in the natural light of a rainy day, as you can probably tell from the sheen of the wooden bridge.Equipment
When I was first bitten by the shutterbug, I started out with just my Samsung Galaxy S5. I also had a Nikon Coolpix pocket point and shoot, but I generally liked the photos I got with my 16MP smartphone better.Inspiration
I was attending the outdoor wedding of two very good friends. The leaves were starting to turn for Autumn in the beautiful central Pennsylvania forest. The place was magical, and I had a little time to walk around and take some shots. Why not? Wouldn't you? This was one of them. By far the best photo to ever come out of my Galaxy S5!Editing
I just did a bit of saturation, contrast, and hue-shift in the phone's standard photo editing tool, and voila! I had never known people to take these kinds of photos with their smartphones. I wonder how many people know what these devices are truly capable of.In my camera bag
Earlier this year, I got a bridge camera, a Nikon Coolpix P610. I have learned to use its creative modes, and plan on transitioning to a DSLR soon.Feedback
Just grab a camera, get out there and have fun! Be creative! That's what it's really all about, right?
