This photo was taken in my yard. I am lucky enough to live in the woods on 35 acres. This provides me the opportunity for many nature images, which is my favorite type of photography to shoot most of the time. I will photograph anything I think to be of interesting.Time
This image was taken in the late afternoon before sunset. I usually take a walk around the woods to try and find something interesting to photograph. In this case it was a mushroom. My cats follow me on my search. They seem to always want to examine whatever I am shooting if it is in their reach. As I was snapping this shot one of my cats took a sniff of it. I am not sure if she was trying to give me a terrific shot or just sniffing of my subject.Lighting
This shot was taken after a rain in late afternoon light. One of my favorite times to shoot. You can pick up nice bokeh especially after a rain at this time. The wet leaves in the background pick up light sometimes in varying colors. The bokeh was what I was going for in this image. I move the camera around the subject until I find the desired bokeh I am looking for.Equipment
This shot was taken with a Sony A3000 mirror less camera with a 18-55 A mount Sony lens. Nothing elseInspiration
Late afternoon light and bokeh. The beauty of the mushroom drew me. I especially liked the way the dirt adhered to the mushroom even after it had pushed up out of the ground.Editing

I usually carry my Sony A3000 with a Sony A mount 18-55 lens along with my Nikon D80 with a 18-70 Nikon AF-S 18-70. My tripod goes most places with me.Feedback
Be prepared for anything that might arise at any moment while shooting an image. You just never know what kind of surprise you might be able to capture in an unexpected moment.
