Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a local park.

Time

It was during the morning.

Lighting

Most photographers know that the best time for sunlight is in the morning and around sunset. Most forget about morning light because that means waking up early.

Equipment

I used a tripod, Sony A7, and the standard lens.

Inspiration

I was just walking around the park when I saw these trees on the top. I instantly knew that it would make a great image. The surprise came later in post when I was able to clean up the sky and discover those beautiful cloud lines. It added that something that I didn't even noticed at first.

Editing

Yes, I originally wanted to do it in color but it didn't seem right so I switched it to B&W. Also dehazing the image made visible the cloud lines that were not showing up originally. I also burned some of the shadows on the hill to give it more texture and dimension to it.

In my camera bag

Camera, lens cloth, and maybe a tripod.

Feedback

Just get out there and go with your gut. A lot of my timing has to do with intuition. Not sure how I trained myself to do it but it has led me to capture some great image's.
