Thank you, Maureen. The ranch where this photo was taken, is so pristine. :)

Location
This photo was taken at the end of Spring, on a remote Horse Ranch we had just moved to in BC, Canada.Time
It was around 7 am and the sun was just rising behind me.Lighting
I was immediately drawn to the scene because the well-lit reflection was perfect and the frost and snow made for a pristine effect, especially with such a blue sky.Equipment
I used my Nikon 5200 with a 55mm lens.Inspiration
I had never seen the pond look as pristine as this before and just had to record the perfect beauty it suggested to me. A year later, I have still never seen the pond look as it did this day and I go past it every day, on my way to see the Horses and work in the barns.Editing
I simply cropped the scene very slightly. I felt that nothing else was needed. In my camera bag
Two Nikon 5200 and D90 cameras - one with 300mm lens and the other with the 55mm lens. Three back-up batteries and a charger, two fast 32GB SD cards, lens-cleaner, filters, notebook and pens (for poetry). :)Feedback
This was more an intuitive shot than anything. The best I can offer is "Get up early to catch the sunrises and clearest lighting graduations as they change". Best of luck! :)
