Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo while visiting friends in Rogersville, TN. As a self taught photographer I am always looking for opportunities to improve my skills.

Time

This is one of my favorite photos. It was taken mid afternoon on an overcast day just before it started to rain. .

Lighting

I have become a big fan of shooting portraits when the weather is overcast....no fuss.....or extra equipment needed for lighting.

Equipment

Nikon D5100 it lens

Inspiration

I was wanting to take some nice photos in exchange for our stay with our friends...their Grandaughter's attitude was natural making it an easy capture.

Editing

I added some vignette to focus the eyes on the sassy subject.

In my camera bag

I now have a Nikon D750 and zoom kit lens, 24-120 mm.

Feedback

Look at you surroundings, I can see beauty in almost every scenario..Use it to your advantage to add interest to your photos...get close...use apature priority and natural light whenever you can...
