Location
This photo was taken at the park just down the street from my parents house.Time
It was near sunset when I took this photo.Lighting
I wanted all natural light, so I waited till the sun was just in the right position above the horizon so that I could get the correct backlighting. This a glow coming off the feet, despite the mud. I used this to symbolize the beauty of love, despite how messy it is sometimes.Equipment
I did not use any flash with this photo. My camera was a Canon 50D with a standard kit lens I had at the time. Just goes to show what you can do with even the simplest of tools.Inspiration
This photo was inspired by the relationship between my two best friends who are featured in this photo. Their love is so pure and contains so much joy. And though they have their issues just like any other couple, their love is purer than any I have seen. They may trudge through deep mud, but their hearts are untarnished!Editing
I used Lightroom and boosted the contrast a bit, and brought up the clarity. When I did this, for some reason, it added an almost HDR feel to it. I liked it so I decided to keep it. I then boosted the color saturation just a little bit,.In my camera bag
I use a Canon 6D, and usually carry my Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 along with my Canon 50mm f1.2 and my Canon 17-40mm f4. Along with that I usually bring along a flash or two. I also sometimes bring along my Canon 135mm f1.2 in case I want some amazing background blur on a portrait!Feedback
Don't ever be afraid to wait for the correct time of day for natural light. Take the time and wait til the moment is just right, and it can make all the difference in the world to your photography!
