Location
I was walking past a very messy garden and the wind was blowing, and spotted a load of dandelions.Time
It was late afternoon.Lighting
It was an overcast day and threatening to rain, so the sky was full of rain clouds. I liked the fact that it was a bit darker as it helped for the dandelion seeds to stand out more .Equipment
I used the Nikon D3100 with the 18-55mm lens. No other equipment was required as I just done a close up shot.Inspiration
The wind lifting the dandelion seeds out caught my eye and I wanted to capture that gentleness of them taking off.Editing
I decided that it would be more atmospheric in mono - I also like the fact that mono draws the viewer in to look closely and see detail that they may overlook with a colour photo. In my camera bag
The Nikon D3100 with two lenses - an 18-55mm and the 55-200mm Nikkor.Feedback
Just don't over think it. See nature for what it is, it is ever changing and carry the camera with you at all times because those opportune moments disappear fast!
