Behind The Lens
Location
It was taken in a community garden. The flower is a hybrid of the purple cone flower.Time
Midday. I believe it was a bit overcast that day as well.Lighting
Still learning about lighting. With this one, I found an angle that showed the flower and butterfly very well. I didn't have much time to get it right, as we have a lot of wind here, and that causes movement of plants, and butterflies don't stay still very long either. I took several pictures, and this was the only one in which the subject and flower were not moving very much.Equipment
Just a camera, my elbow steadied on my knee and good balance.Inspiration
I suppose because my grandma instilled in me a love for beautiful flying things, and my dad and grandma, a live for flowers. I have always enjoyed putting colors together as well, and this was, in my opinion a good color match. I took art in junior high and high school, and my grandfather was and artist, and showed me some things as well. My dad bought me my first camera when I was about twelve. An old Ansco 35mm. I was hooked.Editing
A bit of image sharpening, I believe, but I think that was all for this one.In my camera bag
A small assortment of lenses. That is all.Feedback
Be patient, and don't take just one shot. I'm a situation like this with moving objects, one is almost never enough.
