In this case I wanted to take a picture with a flash where the light and dark areas alternate.
That's why I positioned a small light shaper diagonally from above. The model looks towards the light.
For the dark area I positioned a shadow shaper so that the shadow was exactly behind the model's head.
This creates the dark background, light face, light background, dark face effect.
To enhance this effect I put a black hat on her head

I took the photo in my studio near Salzburg. www.studio-b.at We are a studio community and also rent it.Time
The photo was taken in the evening because I have the most time and muse to try out new things.Lighting
Since I only wanted to use one flash, I used a small light shaper. This flash is left in front of her. To get the background half light and half dark I used a large shutter and the model so positioiniert that she is just still in the light. My position is a little to the right of her.Equipment
I used a Canon Eos R5; Lens, RF 70-200 F2,8 L IS USM; One Flash, Bowens Pro 500Inspiration
I wanted a portrait that was Dark, Light, Dark, Light. And that with only one flash. So I asked one of my favorite models if she had time and we met in the studio.Editing
In post-processing, I did simple skin retouching as usual. I also adjusted the contrasts a bit and reduced the saturation a bitIn my camera bag
Most timer i use a Canon EOS R5 and a EOS R 6 My Lenses are RF 16-35 2,8 L RF 34-70 2,8 L RF 70-200 2,8 L As Light most time i use two Profoto B10Feedback
If you want to make such a picture I can only advise to use a very large shutter and a small light shaper on the flash so that the shadows have halfway hard edges.
