Just a fun shot at my friend's house. We had driven a few hours to pick up the kitten about a week prior to this photo. I had gone to visit her and the kitten of course was curious and wanted to visit me. He is a real charm.Time
It was after lunch and I guess he was in a playful mood as most kittens are.Lighting
There are a lot of windows so it was nice to just get the photo without worrying about setting anything up. Kittens do move fast and really don't want to pose.Equipment
I brought my Canon R6 with the standard RF 24-105 F4 L lens. It is super versatile and handy to use.Inspiration
I was anxious to get practice shots of the kitten because who can resist a kitten? Really, who can resist.Editing
I used the raw file and did a minor crop and lowered the contrast and shadows a bit and adjusted a bit of the lighting in DPP 4. It was surprisingly simple as I had fortunately been able to get my levels fairly good in camera. In my camera bag
Normally I have my Huawei P30 but when I am out and about I try to take my R6 with a lens for whatever excursion I am going on. The lens usually in my bag is the RF 24-105 due to the versatility. I like to take my RF 800 out on wilderness and wildlife shoots.Feedback
Kittens are really quick, if at all possible have some sort of eye/face focus feature on, and also a really fast shutter speed. Have the aperture as wide open as possible (F4 was used for this) and focus on the eye. It does not matter if the borders are a bit blurry.
