Location
The Gredas de Bolnuevo is a curious and magical natural place on the Spanish coast, which many know as the enchanted city of Bolnuevo. It is located 77 kilometers from the capital of Murcia, 55 kilometers from the town of Lorca and 44 kilometers from Cartagena. The Gredas de Bolnuevo are spectacular rock formations of silica and aluminum which, after centuries of erosion by sea, air and sand, have formed extravagant formations. Greda is the name given to the precious clay material, traditionally used for the production of ceramics and pottery. The Gredas of Bolnuevo, being formed by yellowish sandy materials, sandstone and, to a lesser extent, thin lenses of microconglomerates, are very modular. This is why they change constantly over the years, a characteristic that has served to acquire the name of the Enchanted City. For some, the ash yellow color with horizontal and vertical stripes of the Gredas de Bolnuevo reminds them of a lunar landscape .Time
The shot was prepared with PHOTOPILLS and done at sunset . During the day I was there knowing where the sun will go down and trying to find the best place and the best composition .Lighting
The last rays of the sun was disappearing on the left as my camera was placed on my tripod .Equipment
SONY 7R4 + SONY 24/105 F4Inspiration
we had a small period of time when I could see the effect of natural light on las gredas as you feel night coming but before the artificial lights illuminating the place is interferingEditing
the file was prepared in LRc and PS the picture was cropped to give a pano effect helped by the high resolution of the cameraIn my camera bag
Now I use Sony camera with sony or zeiss lenses . When i'm travelling usually for landscape photography I choose to take my sony 7R4 with 2 zoom lenses 24/105 and 70/300 f4 and a tripod . This is because I wanna be light and mobile . I also have a sony A6500 for sports or animal photos, large aperture fixed lenses and a sony 7R2 as a backup cameraFeedback
good information is useful in landscape photography concerning the times of the sun and the moon as well as a weather forecast. the apps help us in this direction but it is always useful to get to the site before the time you plan to do photos because you will learn many other things that do not exist on the web or apps. For example in this specific case the site is no longer accessible on foot
