Street-sidewalk lamp getting pelted by the atmospheric rivers of rain that hit California in January of 2023.

The raindrops splashing off of the top created this prism like color bokeh & I filtered it a bit to get it to pop

Location

This was taken on my first trip to Canada a while back at Lake Winnipeg They have a fireworks show at the end of summer just before the first snows hit

There was only a tiny bit of light from the cabins so it was perfect for shooting the fireworks.

Equipment

Everything is on camera phones right now as I haven't had the funds to get a new camera in ages.

Inspiration

Fireworks make me feel like a kid again and I love taking photos of them

I still have my trusty old Minolta 7000 & a couple lenses, but I rarely use it anymore.

Feedback

You know the sound of fireworks going up? Listen for it, then wait a beat, then shoot as many times as you can, you'll be amazed how much the colors change over a couple shots.
