Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken outside of our newest Art building in Houston.

Time

I always try and challenge myself to create images I am proud of when I think that the odds are stacked against me. This was taken outside at mid day!

Lighting

Natural mid day light filtered through trees!

Equipment

This was shot on the Nikon Z7 with a 24-70mm lens.

Inspiration

Sallie has the most beautiful eyes and they seem to always know how to tell a story. I wanted to see if I could capture that without seeing her whole face.

Editing

This photo went through many edits looking at color and texture to see what brought out her features best.

In my camera bag

I am a Nikon shooter and I love all of my prime lenses but this particular day I couldn’t carry around my full bag so I put the 24-70 on and we went for a walk.
