Location
This photo was taken in an old mill in Oradea called “Moara Rasarit” (Sunrise Mill).Time
Photo session was done during the afternoon into sunset.Lighting
We used some portable flashes and a wireless trigger to achieve this shot.Equipment
Shot on Sony A7 III Tamron 28-75 f2.8 with portable godox/elinchrome flashesInspiration
This was shot as part of a Photography course with the Varadinum Foto Club in Oradea, the flour shooting was something a lot of people were looking forward to, especially in a mill.Editing
There was a bit of processing but no photoshop was needed, mainly the smart use of radial filters and brushes give the look.In my camera bag
My two Tamron lenses (28-75, 70-180 f2.8s) my Peak Design Travel Tripod, extra batteries and cards and of course the A7 III, filters and remote triggers. All neatly packed in a Peak Design backpack.Feedback
Timing is key for flour shots, it’s easier to do it if you follow the model with your eyes directly instead of through the lens and take the shot “in the blind” if you have to. A tripod helps with this, but I did not use one.
