Location
I was standing on a dock at the public boat launch, watching the evening glow.Time
The image was taken at 7:00 on a Summer's evening in July.Lighting
This photograph was shot in natural light, with the assistance of a tripod.Equipment
I used a Sony a7r4, with a 70-120mm lens, attached to a tripod.Inspiration
I live in the Skagit Valley, but my heart lies in LaConner, which is an interesting blend, of Native American culture, while on the other side of the channel, fancy restaurants and fine dining. I've strive to capture this blend.Editing
On this photograph, I increased the color saturation ever so slightly. There is also a slight crop, pulling the image, back from the channel. I'm not seeking perfection, but I've seen many images where the photographer, go way to far, ruining the photo. I alway remind myself that less is more. Keep it simple! In my camera bag
I usually take a Fujifilm 100s. For lenses I like to take a 30mm, a 45mm, and a 80mm. This basically covers all my needs. I alway bring a CPL for each lens, and an extra charged battery. I never leave home without making sure that the cards are in my camera.Feedback
