Location
This photo was taken in Lofoten, in NorwayTime
This was obviously at night, during one of my Northern light shows, this one of the best I have seen there.Lighting
Usually when shooting Northern lights we try to capture as much as possible of the aurora a try not to integrate other sources of light, but the moon was full and the aurora was so strong I decided to do something different this time.Equipment
I used a Sony A7II with a Laowa 12mm F2.8 manual lensInspiration
When taking northern lights photos we often look for some nice foreground and background, and I had it all, but then I decided to turn around and use another element that was at my disposable, I honestly have never seen before such photo and I didn't even know if it was going to work as it was shot at F8.Editing
Very little, I did some post-processing, of course, I shoot in RAW so I needed to fine-tune the colours on this photo, but it was maybe a 5-minute edit.In my camera bag
At the moment I have the Sony A7RIV, Sony A7C, Sony 16-35 F2.8, Sony 24-70, Sony 70-200 and the Laowa 12mm F2.8Feedback
Once you are done and satisfied with the photos you have captured, move around don't be an anchor, make sure you have different compositions and different subjects, only like that I was able to capture something different.
