Location
this picture was taken close to where I live. about 5 miles away from our small townTime
This picture was taken at sunset. Saskatchewan , Canada is said to have the most beautiful sunsets and I have to agree. Also the part of the prairies that I live in have a lot of lone trees. It was so beautiful that it just beckoned to me that evening. and i was thinking all it would need is a giraffe standing next to the tree.Lighting
The lighting is just straight out of the camera. beautiful and straight forward.Equipment
I honestly always take my tripod with me and about 90% of the time I forget to use it..unless i am shooting sports. but we have lots of fence posts around so I likely used one of those to stand up against.Inspiration
The beauty of the evening, and the lack of mosquitoes in the air made me decide to set up for this shot.Editing
if i used any post processing for this picture it was only to deepening the strength of the profile against the setting sunIn my camera bag
I always have my Canon 70D, i love this camera...it fits well to my hand and it has kind of become 'old faithful' The lenses I carry with me are my nifty fifty, my portrait lens- 135, a Tamron 150-600 and my canon 70 -200 2.8. the last lens is very heavy and that is when i am grateful for a tripod. i also bring along extra batteries , TRY to remember the extra cards..it is a 'whoops' day when i forget those. and a cloth and and air blower. often i have snacks with me as well because when i go out taking photo's of any kind i often get caught up with taking pictures insteadFeedback
Landscape is forever changing. want to try to capture something the same but yet different. go to the same spot in different seasons and see how your photography changes. try changing the shutter speed, and ISO. with the same spot and same picture its amazing how it changes
