This photo was taken back in 2000 when I went with my Grandfather to Churchill, Manitoba, Canada. It's one memory I cling on to. The Polar Bears were just crossing the lake and came right up to our Tundra Buggy. It is supposedly rare to see a mother Polar Bear with 2 cubs.
I don't think too many people understand the significance of this picture nowadays. This was taken with a 35mm Blacks BX7000 Camera. Blacks is a defunct business, we've lost Blacks and it's now a Collectors Item. The Camera still works and I still have it. The film Industry has been hit hard and rarely do you see film used anymore; DSLR and Digital Cameras have all become the rage - even Cell Phones - but not film. It's a dying breed. So cherish this pic.

Location
I took this photo in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada.Time
I took this in the middle of the afternoon around 4pm.Lighting
Yes, since it was 4pm, the sun was beginning to lower and settle, so the light got closer to the surface of ice allowing the ice to be better seen. I think that is why it came off so clearly on my camera.Equipment
I used my Blacks BX7000 35" Film Camera. (I know an extinct company and a vintage camera)Inspiration
I was on a Polar Bear Expedition and learning about the bears. We learned that a mother with two cubs is extremely rare as the other young cub would often kill the other off. So when I saw a mother bear with two cubs, I took the shot.Editing
No.In my camera bag
I normally have a Nikon D5000 DSLR Camera and a Canon EOS Camera and sometimes my Fujifilm J150w Digital Camera on hand.Feedback
Yes, Just keep shooting. Shoot at whatever tugs at your heart and soul. My favorites are Trips and Landscapes/Sunsets & Sunrises and Event Photography.
