I really like the composition and the way you have captured the way the waves are receding. However if I can add one comment; is the purple tinge to the photo natural? I ask because I was wondering if you used a filter.

Location
I took this photo on Taroona Beach in Tasmania.Time
I went to the beach to do a sunset shoot with a friend. The sun was setting away from the beach but the reverse sunset on the river was so much more subtle and serene.Lighting
The lighting is usually beautiful at sunset.Equipment
I shot this on my Sony A55 with a Tokina 11-16mm lens using a tripod, a filter and a long exposure.Inspiration
The beautiful rocks in the water made this the perfect spot for my shoot.Editing
My post processing is pretty basic. A little bit of contrast and clarity and a graduated filter on the beach where I upped the exposure slightly. In my camera bag
Along with my Sony body, I pack my Tokina wide angle, Sony 50mm lens and my Tamron 90mm macro.Feedback
This was a reverse sunset. I was disappointed when the amazing colours were behind me but the subtle colours reflected in the river make this photo one of my favourites.
