Whitewater kayaking is fun and adventurous , and the girls are joining in on once was considered a guy sport. This image is a capture of my friend going down the ocoee river in TN. She amazes me with her strength and courage. I have witnessed her bang her head, go down a waterfall upside down, get stuck in between a rock, and she always comes up with a smile on her face. As a photographer it is nerve wrecking to witness.There has been more than a few times my heart has stopped, hoping she makes it out okay.
She is tough as nails and can keep up with all the boys on the river.
For me to be able to get these shots is no walk in the park. Probably one of the reasons I love it so much, it challenges me to be my best.
