She's walking, she observes everything and everyone. She's up, they are down. She's watching over. She's like a princess. We don't know her face, it's not necessarily. She's tented to go down but the feeling of being up there, overseeing, is better. The shot does not present only a compositional equilibrium but a philosophical one too.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Budapest, Hungary at the Fisherman Castle.

Time

This photo was taking randomly after climbing at the castle. I was simply looking back to see how many step did I have to climb and then "Bang!", the perfect composition appeared. I remember I was super hungry after climbing, therefore it was definitely lunch time: 10th of June, 12:33...

Lighting

To be honest, I didn't check the light and I didn't wait for "the perfect light"...Maybe I just waited for the perfect moment.

Equipment

This was shot with Canon 500D, with EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.

Inspiration

I was inspired by the composition that the architecture created but I realized that this isn't enough... Sometimes you need the presence of a human being to create a composition or to bring life to a photo... So I just waited for the little girl to turn around, to give a little bit of mystery to the photography, to create a direction and life.

Editing

Usually I don't use much of the post-processing because I use the RAW extension. I changed the contrast, brightness and saturation.

In my camera bag

The first thing that I take when I'm traveling is my dslr camera, in this case, my Canon 500d with the kit lens (18-55 mm) but since last year a little brother appeared to my digital camera: a film camera (mamiya ze-2) with 28mm lens.

Feedback

The easiest way to capture something so similar is to find a place that have a composition and to wait a strong presence to complete your picture...But it's not the only way: just look carefully when you are walking on the streets...I'm sure that you'll find interesting places and people to observe and to capture with your lens. There are always subjects, you just have to see them.
