IMO this has to do with the camera - maybe the shutter curtain "jumped" or stuck while falling, which could result in different exposure across the frame.
However, many of your photos need careful post-processing, and especially with regard to contrast, as there are sometime no real black (just dark gray).
You do not need to invest in PP editor, there is an exxcellent freeware program named PhotoScape, and this can greatly augment the quality of presented photos!
